Price is per 16-inch string of about 36 of these large 12mm beads.

Soo Chow Jade is named after the city in China where it was carved during the Qing Dynasty.

It is not really "jade" as in jadite at all, but a very similar stone which is translucent, and usually green with an oily luster. It is very tough, making it an ideal, cost-effective, substitute to real jade beads.
